Last year Three Taverns Brewery had the great privilege to collaborate on a beer with the experimental brewery of Pilsner Urquell, Pivovar Proud, and brew a hoppy pilsner for pouring in the Czech Republic at the 2022 Pilsen Liberation Festival. And we're doing it again for 2023!!!!

But you don't have to travel all the way to Europe to try this delicious brew. Just come out and join us on Saturday, May 6th to drink a pour off our side pull tap! Just like they pour them in Pilsen, Czech Republic!

Every year in May, the Liberation Festival in Pilsen commemorates the liberation of the city of Pilsen by the U.S. Army led by general Patton during WWII. The city transforms to 1945 again, with army tank parades and other festivities.

When coming up with ideas for our collaboration brew, the good folks of Pilsner Urquell were inspired by our use of Citra for dry hopping Prince Of Pilsen, so the decision was made to brew another version of a hoppy pilsner and Pilsen liberation was born. Pilsen Liberation melds the classic crisp Czech malt and Saaz hop character with the distinctly American aromatic character from the use of Citra and Cascade hops. This beer is the epitome of what the Pilsen Liberation Festival celebrates each year.
