Ph.D Candidates Mary Geer Dethero and Katherine Shepard (http://astro.gsu.edu/~jrob/).

The night will include a fun & informative lecture about the Inner and Outer Workings of Stars.. Ms. Dethero will showcase her research of simulating the interiors of stars of all shapes and sizes, including visualizations of how matter behaves in those environments. Ms. Shepard will also discuss her research in studying a peculiar class of stars - rapid rotators: stars that rotate so fast they change their shape. Followed by star gazing with telescopes on the patio.
